Guidelines for Groups & Events

At GatherLogic, we believe that real-life community matters. When people come together, they create new possibilities for each other. GatherLogic exists to help people find communities that will help them thrive.

To make this possible, GatherLogic requires groups and events to meet some basic requirements.

✔ Provide Personal Development

GatherLogic events should offer opportunities for members to improve themselves in some way. This could mean:

• Increased Social Connection
• Boosting Friendship Network
• Skill and Knowledge Development
• Professional Networking
• Community Support

Prohibited Group & Event Practices

While GatherLogic helps people find their community, certain types of groups and events cannot be accepted on our platform due to safety, legal, and ethical concerns. Groups that fall into any of the following categories may be removed.

✘ Illegal and Criminal Activity

Users may not use the platform to engage in, promote, facilitate, or glorify illegal or criminal activity, including but not limited to:

• Violent crimes, threats of violence, or instructions to harm others
• Terrorism, extremist organizations, or radicalization efforts
• Human trafficking, exploitation, or coercion
• Drug manufacturing, distribution, or illegal use
• Weapons sales, instructions, or misuse (except lawful and educational contexts)
• Fraud, scams, phishing, or impersonation
• Money laundering or financial crimes
• Theft of intellectual property or trade secrets

We cooperate with law enforcement when legally required.

✘ Public Safety and Harm Prevention

Content or behavior that poses a credible risk to public safety is prohibited, including:

• Encouraging self-harm or suicide
• Reckless behavior that could cause injury or death
• False information that may cause panic or physical harm
• Coordinating dangerous activities without appropriate safety measures
• Harassment or intimidation intended to silence or threaten others

Emergency or crisis-related content may be moderated to prevent harm.

✘ Sexual Content, Pornography, and Nudity

The platform is not intended for adult content. The following are prohibited:

• Pornographic or sexually explicit content
• Sexual acts intended to arouse
• Fetish content
• Explicit sexual language accompanied by imagery
• Any sexual content involving minors (zero tolerance)
• Non-consensual sexual content or exploitation

Limited, non-sexual nudity may be allowed only in legitimate contexts such as educational, scientific, or medical content, or art or cultural discussion (at the platform's sole discretion).

✘ Harassment, Hate, and Abuse

Users must not post or engage in content that:

• Harasses, bullies, or stalks others
• Incites hatred or violence against individuals or groups
• Uses slurs or demeaning language
• Targets protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age

Disagreements are allowed; abuse is not.

✘ Misinformation and Deceptive Practices

Prohibited activities include:

• Knowingly spreading false or misleading information
• Impersonating individuals, organizations, or authorities
• Fake events, fake profiles, or deceptive event listings
• Manipulating engagement metrics (spam, bots, fake RSVPs)

Satire must be clearly identifiable as such.

✘ Privacy and Personal Data

Users may not:

• Share personal or sensitive information without consent
• Doxx, expose, or threaten to expose private data
• Upload content violating privacy laws or data protection regulations

This includes addresses, phone numbers, government IDs, or private communications.

✘ Spam, Abuse of Platform Features, and Commercial Misuse

The following are prohibited:

• Spam, mass unsolicited messages, or repetitive content
• Malicious links, malware, or harmful scripts
• Using the platform primarily for advertising without authorization
• Scraping or automated data collection without permission
• Circumventing platform safeguards or moderation systems

✘ Individuals Under 18

GatherLogic members and organizers must be at least 18 years old. Groups and events must only be intended for people over the age of 18.

Enforcement and Moderation

The platform reserves the right to:

• Remove or restrict content at its discretion
• Suspend or terminate accounts for violations
• Limit visibility of content pending review
• Report illegal activity to authorities when required

Enforcement actions may be taken without prior notice in severe cases.
